How do I measure across the hips in women's pants?
Where do I place the tape measure to get the measurement across the hips in women's pants?
Generally you measure 5 - 7 inches down from your waist but everyone is widest at a different place. Look in the mirror and decide where you are widest and measure around that area keeping the tape measure as level as possible.
To measure the pants themselves lay them out on a table as flat as possible and look for the widest place and measure that and multiply by 2 to get the hip measurement. Again generally 5 - 7 inches below the waist.
